AUTUMN is here, so it makes good sense to check over your car’s key safety features such as lights, brakes and tyres to be sure they are in good shape for another winter’s motoring, especially if you own an older model.
Equally important is the cooling system, the cause of more emergency calls to the roadside rescue organisations than most other components at this time of year. Cracked hoses, sticking thermostats or just lack of antifreeze can lead to overheating or major engine failure, especially in winter, so why run the risk of your engine seizing up?
If you have any doubts about your car’s fitness, you can take advantage of a comprehensive Winter Safety Check and Top Up now available at participating Vauxhall MasterFit Retailers throughout the country.
It covers all safety-critical components, including lights and electrics, brakes, hubs, wheels and tyres, plus an external and internal vehicle inspection, and checks on the underside and under-bonnet.
Once Vauxhall-trained technicians have completed the visual inspection process, they will check the fluid levels and top up where necessary. Engine oil, brake fluid, coolant and screenwash are all covered.
WinterCheck is designed to provide owners of Vauxhall and other makes of car with peace of mind and great value at just £35. You will also receive a free Winter Car Care Kit, containing a Sonax window de-icer aerosol, bottle of antifreeze and clearview concentrate, an ice scraper and a chamois pad.
